Transition To Other Schools

Litchfield Montessori School graduates continue on to many of the area private and public schools.  We prepare our students academically and socially, making the transition to another school comfortable.  But most importantly, our graduates leave with not only the tools to succeed but also an enthusiasm for further learning.  They are engaged students who view teachers as allies in the search for knowledge.  Our graduates have gone on to Washington Montessori School, Rumsey Hall School, Ethel Walker School, Talcott Mountain School, and Indian Mountain School, as well as area public middle schools. Our graduates have continued on to secondary schools such as Westminster School, Taft School, Forman School, The Gunnery, Chase Collegiate Academy, The Master's School, Cheshire Academy, The Foote School, and Hotchkiss School, as well as area public high schools.

Admissions Priority is given to:
  • Students transferring from other Montessori schools
  • Toddlers
  • 3 year olds

Non-Discrimating Policy
The Litchfield Montessori School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religious creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital status or disability.  This policy applies to, but is not limited to, admission, financial aid, and employment.
