Litchfield Montessori School has a position immediately open for Director of Development. Duties and responsibilities include:
Work to enhance our school’s stability and growth as well as support its mission and strategic plan.
•
Planning, implementation, and management of a development program that will attract the maximum gift support possible to the school. This program includes: the annual fund, annual auction, capital campaign, special event, on-going major and restricted gift and foundation and corporate grant fundraising.
•Management, oversight, support and recognition of all volunteer involvement in the schools fundraising efforts, especially the Circle of Friends. Set and maintain high-quality standards for the involvement of volunteers.
•Serve on the Board of Trustees Development Committee and Marketing and Admissions Committee. Prepare monthly and year-end reports for the Development Committee.
The school has served families with a classic Montessori approach to education in the greater Litchfield County area for over thirty seven years. The school sits on a four acre campus in a beautifully designed Marcel Breuer structure. LMS currently serves 96 children ages 18 months to 12 years old.
